We are delighted to invite you to our wedding at Rowton Castle, a magnificent 17th-century Grade II listed building nestled in the heart of Shropshire, just six miles west of Shrewsbury. Set within 17 acres of tranquil grounds, including beautifully manicured gardens, enchanting woodland walks, and hidden pools, Rowton Castle offers a picturesque and romantic setting for our special day.

We encourage you to explore the castle's expansive grounds during your visit. Take a leisurely stroll through the traditional English walled gardens, wander along woodland paths, and discover the serene hidden pools. The natural beauty surrounding the castle provides a peaceful escape and numerous picturesque spots to enjoy.

Accommodation

We are excited to have you join us for our wedding at Rowton Castle. The castle offers 19 beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, including three family rooms suitable for up to four guests. Each room is uniquely styled, blending historic charm with modern comforts.

To accommodate as many of our guests as possible within the castle, we invite you to indicate your interest in staying on-site by including a message in your RSVP at the bottom of this website. Upon receiving your request, we will provide you with details regarding room availability and pricing.

For additional accommodation, Rowton Barns is conveniently located next door. This charming bed and breakfast features ten en-suite rooms, including ground-floor options and a family room that sleeps up to two adults and four children. Rowton Barns is just a short walk from the castle, making it a convenient alternative for our guests.

Dress Code

Let’s leave the hustle and bustle of modern life behind for a day and step back into a simpler, more elegant time. We invite you to join us for a celebration reminiscent of a bygone era.

Gentlemen, please wear suits, and ladies wear long dresses that evoke classic glamour. As a special request from the bride, we kindly ask that ladies refrain from wearing light blue—or white, of course! Any other color is fine (within reason… maybe skip neon green).

We can’t wait to see everyone looking their best for the day!

Timings

Here’s the schedule for the day, so you can plan ahead and enjoy every moment with us:

  • 12:30 – 13:30: Guest Arrival

  • 13:30 – 14:00: Wedding Ceremony

  • 14:00 – 16:00: Reception Drinks & Photographs

  • 16:00 – 16:30: Receiving Line

  • 16:30 – 19:00: Wedding Breakfast

  • 19:00 – 00:00: Evening Celebrations

Gifts

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. However, if you still wish to get us something, we would be grateful for donations towards our honeymoon fund or to two charities close to our hearts: Severn Hospice and the Alzheimer's Society.
